Our journey began in 1983 when Peter Ellis, a true artisan of the baking craft, and his wife Ruth embarked on a culinary adventure that has been a labour of love for over four decades. Peter's passion was ignited at 15 when he left school to work for a family-run bakery in Essex, later honing his skills at Southampton Bakery College where he was Top Student three years running.
What began as a small family enterprise has grown into a beloved local institution with a master bakery and two shops serving Ringwood and Fordingbridge. We specialise in traditional baked goods made using long-fermentation methods, and the Ellis family's four children all play an active part in the business today.

“I cannot believe this bakery doesn't have five stars! I had a bacon and sausage baguette and it was massive! Great quality produce and really friendly staff. Staff were more than happy to investigate my questions and you can tell the young people behind the till had pride in working there after seeing them go and correct a misplaced item in the self serve fridge. Cannot fault and highly recommend especially for those with a big appetite! Cheap too I saw some cakes for £1.50 you can't get that anywhere now!”
“We stayed in the area for my mother in laws 60th and got two amazing cakes made from the owner, she did amazing. 4 star for my mother in laws cake and my special gluten and dairy free cake as im intolerant they were beautiful! But minus one star for service today when we went in to ask for pasties for the family, theirs was lovely but the woman I spoke to today to ask if she had any dairy/gluten free pasties she dismissed me so rudely shooing me off with the back of her hand saying no no no we dont do anything like that here was very really rude the way she spoke and gestured me. I was very disappointed as the pre ordered cakes were amazing and so very thoughtful.”

“So, my Husband and I visited Belinda's today (10th October 2025) for breakfast. What a lovely experience! Smiles upon entering, lovely clean and friendly bakery come café. We were able to order any combination of a fabulous array of breakfast items, and it was no trouble when we asked if our eggs could be poached ... they were lovely. The staff were fabulous, one of the nicest breakfast experiences we have had. We are on holiday but are definitely going back again before we go home. Thank you Belinda's we had a great morning. Tania and Kevin Well, we did go back again, TWICE! Today's 3rd visit (20th October 2025) we had a late brekky and again it was superb. My choice this time was Bacon, Halloumi, Avocado, Grilled Tomato and two Fried ggs to die for! The staff at Belinda's are so welcoming it's like eating at a friend's house. What a wonderful way to spend a cold and drizzly Autumn morning, the grey sky was soon forgotten and our mood was lifted ... just like our eggs ... sunny side up! 🍳”
